What is a smart scale for?

How does it work?
When you hop on the scales, a small electrical current will flow from the 4 metal plates in the scales and through your body. This current is what the machine uses to take your body metrics. The process is called Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). It measures the different types of tissue you have in your body, such as fat and muscle tissues. You can get a much better idea of your body’s composition.
Remember, this smart scale isn’t as accurate as professional body measuring equipment, such as what your doctor might use. But it’s much more informative than normal bathroom scales. You can also track your changes over time.
Please note: people who use internal medical devices such as a pacemaker shouldn’t use a smart scale.
What can you track?

How to start using your smart scale
Insert the AAA batteries in the battery panel under the scale and close the cover. Install the app on your phone using the QR code you’ll see on the scale’s manual. Next, using Bluetooth, pair the scale to your phone. You can pair it to any device that uses Bluetooth 4.0 and above. Then, follow the prompts on the app, register, and start using the scale to measure your body metrics.
Make sure your smart scale is on a hard, flat surface to avoid inaccurate readings. Don’t put it on carpet or a rug. Keep it in a dry spot so the cables and electrical parts don’t get wet. The glass will be slippery if it’s wet, so if it’s a bit steamy, dry it before using. Don’t use harsh cleaning products on your scale.
Stand with both feet evenly on the scale to prevent it from tipping up. If you have shoes or socks on, it won’t be able to take your readings. So stand on the scale with bare feet. It’s a good idea to weigh yourself at the same time every day. First thing in the morning would be an excellent choice.

You can download a free app by scanning the QR code on the manual you’ll receive with the scale. The app is called OKOK and is available on the App Store and Google Play. It records the various body metrics that the smart scale takes. Check your body weight, body fat, muscle mass, and more. Use the app to track your progress over time. You’ll also receive personalized recommendations and advice on exercise, diet, and sleep patterns.
